"iz .art" : Music Part 2 (Part 1)
Apart from Iz Maglow's "Musical Notes" paintings, his exploration of music is also reflected in graphic designs, wall and sound installations, and in drawings.
Music in Graphic Designs
"... His 'music pictures', also represented at 'Fruchtkasten', found their way into record covers, concert programs and orchestral posters from Berlin to Munich ..." wrote the "Rottumbote" in 1997 on the occasion of an exhibition by Iz Maglow at Fruchtkasten in Ochsenhausen (Germany).

Stravinsky Wall Installation
Iz Maglow calls the "Epilogue" on his first stage set for the Frankfurt Chamber Opera: Stravinsky's chamber play "L' HISTOIRE DU SOLDAT". It is a combination of paintings and a few original stage elements.

Sound Installations and Drawings
Sound Installations
The two sound installations TSCHAIKOWSKY DIED IN THE BATHROOM and TESTFALL show how Iz Maglow artistically illuminated his theme of music under different aspects and applied it with various techniques.

"...If there is such a thing as jokes in the fine arts, then he has succeeded in doing so with his object TSCHAIKOWSKY STARB IN THE BATHROOM. ..." schrieb Dr. Ulrich Köppen wrote in the "Böblinger Bote" in 1984 on the occasion of the art exhibition of Iz Maglow in the Leonberger Kunstverein Glaskasten.
And Dr. Köppen went on: "...There are two tape recorders on the floor, one containing the sixth symphony of the Russian composer, the other modern bathroom noise, such as water in all uses, shaver and brushing. On the top of the wall there are hanging ten blue colored bathroom items: a tub, a board with a mug, a shower, a telephone receiver, a neon lamp, a drainpipe, an electric shaver, a faucet, a toilet seat and an extension cord.
All items are also draped to represent the numbers 0 through 9; They also all contain a small speaker inside. Using a self-constructed switch box, you can now charge each speaker – even all of them at the same time – either with the bathroom noise or the music.
The historical fact that Tchaikovsky died in the bathroom is so ironically alienated into a music-noise object, which certainly occurs to some as a 'profanation', but in practice, more irony and humor as cheap fun represents ..."

Music Event Drawings
The small-format drawings are souvenir notes that captured both scenic and musical impressions with graphite or pencil in a dynamic and exciting way after operas, ballet or concert visits.
